Abstract(s) :

(Anglais) This research project tries to find out which notes provide a qualitative target text during consecutive interpreting. As quality is clearly a multi-layered concept, we analyse different subparameters of quality, such as accuracy, fluency and target-language quality. However, the characteristics of the source texts and the level of experience of the interpreters might also influence the nature of qualitative notes and are therefore also taken into account. This poster provides a short definition of consecutive interpreting and then presents the research question and the different variables under study (namely, the source texts, target texts, notes and the level of experience of the interpreters). It also explains the method used for establishing the source texts and mentions the parameters studied for the analysis of fluency, for example speaking speed, articulation rate, silent pauses, disfluencies etc. The approach used to judge accuracy is also presented followed by the title of a relevant related study and some preliminary results.
