Abstract(s) :

(Anglais) Deep geothermal energy was discovered in Hainaut (Belgium) in the 70's. Up to now, only 3 geothermal plants are operating in this area. Thanks to ERDF funds, new operations are ongoing to characterize the deep geothermal reservoir and to develop its exploitation. Among these operations,the MORE-GEO project held by UMONS is divided in three main parts: 1) the acquisition of new data from the deep geothermal reservoir; 2) the development of a hydrogeological model of the geothermal reservoir; 3) the test of exploitation scenarios within the hydrogeological model.
