Abstract(s) :

(Anglais) The following report collects the main results concerning the test campaign carried out in the period October 2012 - June 2013. The team is actually working on the combustion of low calorific, alternative fuels in a particular regime known as MILD or diluted combustion, or Flameless Oxidation too. This is an efficient technology applied to industrial furnaces to have high efficiency, low NOx and CO emission and energy saving by air preheating. This report will be presented following in part the main order of the work packages foreseen for this convention. After a brief presentation of the main aspects concerning the diluted combustion and the lab facility, test campaign 2012-2013 will be discussed in detail focusing on the effect of the air preheating and the stability of the alternative, low calorific fuels (WP 1.1). Following, theoretical studies on the behavior of biomass fuel will be shown (WP 1.2). Finally, in relation to the work packages 2.1 and 3 the main results of the numerical simulation for the alternative fuels and a survey of the actual methods to measure the radiative transfer of the different fuels burning in a chamber at high temperature will be presented.
