Abstract(s) :

(Anglais) The skin and gland secretions of many Bufo toads constitute a rich and diverse source of active compounds, namely bufadienolides among many others such as alkaloids, biogenic amines, peptides and proteins. The objective of this research project consists in isolating compounds from toad venoms and to test if these compounds possess a potential antiplasmodial activity. This part of the project focuses essentially on the extraction and analysis of bufadienolides. In this instance, High-Performance Thin-layer Chromatography is considered. The initial analysis by TLC will be followed by a fractionation step. Two approaches are envisaged: Low-Pression column chromatography and Solid Phase Extraction.
