Abstract(s) :

(Anglais) For certain applications, optical fiber sensors have demonstrated to provide an advantageous performance with respect to other existing platforms. Reduced size, remote monitoring or real-time operation are just some of the features that allow to obtain reliable solutions for harsh situations.Thus, this thesis is focused on the development of advanced chemical sensors using optical fiber gratings. Through the deposition of polymer, metal or metal-polymer coatings around them, the working principle of different kinds of sensors is demonstrated. Profiting from the inherent advantages of optical fibers for sensing purposes, the techniques studied and described in this text are aimed to be taken as generic approaches, leading to a broad range of applications in the detection of chemical compounds.
