Abstract(s) :

(Anglais) The objective of this research project consists in isolating compounds from toad venoms and to test if these compounds possess a potential antiplasmodial activity. Firstly, our main concerns will be to select the different toad species that will be used, to collect the gland secretions and most importantly to establish a bioguided fractionation process. For that, extraction protocols and purification steps will be optimized or developed. Each isolated compound will be biologically evaluated (antimalarial activity and cytotoxicity). Once identified, active compounds will be structurally characterized.
